Irritating Commercials

Sometimes, as I watch TV, I see commercials that irritate me.  Some are just irritating overall but some hit on a deeper level of irritation.  The Travelocity commercial where the man calls his wife a beach angel is just surface level irritating.  Mostly it's their voices that drive me crazy but that what the mute button is for.

For some reason, other commercials just camp out and roast smores on my last nerve.  So, if you don't have these commercials where you are, just skip this post and write it off to "crazy old Christina".

1.  Angel Soft toilet paper-  The man is standing in the doorway to the bathroom and asks his wife to throw him a roll of toilet paper.  The first is too hard, the second is too soft and the third is just right.  Well, after the first, I'm thinking "Just go down the hall and get it your dang self!"

2.  Tide Detergent- Dad doesn't like short white skirt that belongs to his daughter so he gets it really dirty.  Mom cleans it and daughter wears it much to Dad's chagrin.  Dad, if you don't want her to wear a short skirt than tell her no.  She will live.  Promise.

3.  Can't remember if it's a hot dog commercial or a commercial for the grill- Scene sets with a man coming home to find his whole family electronically occupied (computers, TV, video games) so he cuts the power to the house so everyone will come outside to the grill and share a family meal.  Seriously?  How about you go around and tell people to get off the computer/TV?

Now, do I think that these commercials are worth spending a lot of time worrying about? No.  Do I spend long periods of time worrying about these people? No.  Do I realize that these people are acting? Yes.  Does any of this "alter the path of salvation"?  No.  It just irritates me when I see them and I wondered if I was alone.  Also, my sweet husband is hoping that by blogging about this I will stop commenting every time the commercials come on.
